Introduction |
 |
Logiblocs are electronic building blocks with an attitude, the cyber
blocks of the future. Each consists of an electronic circuit board enclosed in a plastic
block. By plugging the blocks together in various combinations, children virtually
write a simple computer program to build and operate electronic devices in a fun and
exciting way. The blocks fit together to provide an amazing interactive array of
electronic circuits that can be used to build all sorts of gadgets - burglar alarms, scanners, zappers, and even replica space stations - all complete with sound, flashing
lights, buttons to press and automatic sequences. |
These great new kits teach two things: the basics of electronics and the
fundamentals of Aristotelian logic so essential to man's quest for knowledge.
All blocks are color coded by function and identified with large graphics, so
even kids that have not learned can read can enjoy a meaningful learning experience while
having a blast with lights and bleeps results from their efforts.
Begin by following the easy step-by step instructions to build specific
projects. All of the blocks in all of the kits are interchangeable, so as children's
knowledge and experience increase, they can obtain additional sets and more components,
then strike out to experiment with their own ideas. Most are suitable for ages four
and up, but don't let that mislead you. The Electric City kit is also very useful in
teaching and demonstrating the fundamentals of computer programming logic to adults.
