| The Conidae are the cone shells. They are small to large, mainly thick and heavy,
conical shells. Many have striking colors and patterns and individual species often
reflect great variation in both. A few are venomous, especially the popular Geographic
Cone (shown below). Because of their striking design, they have long been a favorite of
